Work on sculpture started in July 1997 and it was assembled on site 7 months later in Feb 1998.7 }% Y5 v1 U- \8 d+ V) q

The Angel was fabricated from 2000 tonnes of weathering steel. It rises 20 meters and has a wing span of 54 meters - almost as big as a jumbo jet. |
