书中有这样的句子:“Iif you work more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid at the current overtime rate.......If you work on public holidays, you will be paid at the current rate.”
我搞不清的是:“you will be paid at the current overtime  rate”和“you will be paid at the current  rate”有何区别?我觉得好象work overtime 比work on public holidays的薪水高?

Current rate seems to mean \"normal rate\", while overtime rate should be higher than that. So your conclusion is right: Working overtime can earn more than working on public holidays.

不知其他人有没有不同的看法?

Because  when you work on public holidays at Canada,if you don\'t work more than 40 hours a week, you will be pay by normal rate. There are different between North-American and China.
